Coach Thurmond's College Golf Recruiting Blog
I played in a highly regarded tournament but didn’t finish with the results that I wanted to. Would it be wise to let a coach know these results? I finished in the middle of the pack but have a couple more years to compete in this tournament. Thanks.

I always find it respectable when I get reports from recruits after poor events as well as the good ones. Personal responsibility and accountability are key attributes coaches look for in recruits so I think being upfront about all scores is good. Avoid making excuses. If you report all scores the good ones will stand out more. They’ll probably see the results anyway.
