Coach, What would the ideal local recruit’s tournament schedule be? Obviously the USGA Jr and PGA Jr Championships come to mind, but what others, not as prestigous or selective, but more local or accessible?
I think a nice mix of the big national events and qualifiers, local events, and amateur events would be perfect. Depending on where you live the name of those events would change. I think a mix of domination of local/regional events, competitiveness in national/international events, and some success and maturity from amateur events would cover them all. Check your local junior golf associations and amateur golf associations for lists of events. Your local pros or fellow amateurs can help you find these.
