When walking with a player during a tournament do you tell players where they and the team stand?
Tough call. Sometimes. I don’t try to hide it from them, but I also would rather them not worry about it. Coaches are often quick to tell the players when the team is doing well and tell them “don’t to worry about it” when they are playing poorly. This obviously doesn’t make much sense as the player can see through that. So I’m usually honest if they ask, but encourage them not to worry about it or even ask.
