Would playing club golf cause you to lose years of eligibility if you were to walk on to the golf team the next year? Also is it more likely for a team in the north, i.e. a big ten school, to accept a walk on as apposed to a more elite southern schools?
I’m not sure on that club/eligibility question. Sorry. I suspect you would lose/use a year. I don’t necessarily think it is more likely to have walk-ons in the North. I think you should contact each program individually to see how they specifically handle walk ons and how many opportunities might be available. I don’t think there would be much of a geographic correlation.
